Horror films have been placing ravishing women in close proximity with hideous monsters for over one hundred years, and Serge Birault seems Hell-bent on preserving their perilous plight for time immemorial. Thankfully, his stylish renditions of devilishly distressed damsels are at once respectful of their ancient roots, and subversively modern as well.

With lovingly-distressed proportions and a knowing wink, Mr. Birault’s clever twists on classic horror and pulp themes consistently create playful pinups and portraits that drip with wit and charm. Tentacles must hold a special, clammy place in his heart, but rancid fly-men and lecherous were-squirrels also torment the lovely ladies he paints.

Mixed in with his warm appreciation of these subjects is a thin thread of macabre insanity. yet, while death and danger are never far, they are easily overshadowed by deceptively capable and unbelievably beautiful women that populate Serge’s illustrated fantasies.

Mink Brar grew up in Germany. She is known as Dev Anand’s find in the industry who launched her in 'Pyar Ka Tarana'(2003). She did roles in few films like ‘Hum Aapke Dil Mein Rehte Hain’ and ‘Saat Rang Ke Sapne’, all with limited knowledge of the Indian film industry and a serious language barrier! She also did some films like Dipak Tijori’s 'Oops!' and small role in 'Ajnabee'.

Mink Brar is very dedicated girl. She lost six kilos while shooting for 'Zor Ka Jhatka'. She got hurt but she tried her level best to be in the competition. She cleared twice the red balloon. She also had a ligament crack but she then also kept trying to be perfect. She is very happy to be part of this competition. After the shoot she went for full makeover. Priyanka Chopra & Gunjan Baskhi - Mumbai model Gunjan Bakshi looks a lot like ex-Miss World and actress Priyanka Chopra. Gunjan, who has done commercials for well-known brands like Airtel, Nokia, Hide and Seek and Dabur, says it's amusing when people mistake her for Priyanka.

"Once I was having dinner with my cousin and a small kid walked up to me asking me for an autograph. I wondered why. While I was signing it for him, he was like 'I really liked you in Krrish.' That's when I realised he had mistaken me for Priyanka," she said in an interview. But will Gunjan continue to acknowledge the similarity once she enters Bollywood?

Zarine Khan & Katrina Kaif - Salman has apparently cast newcomer Zarine Khan in Veer. Zarine looks strikingly similar to Sallu's girlfriend Katrina. According to industry buzz, Zarine Khan caught Sallu baba's fancy while filming 'Yuvraaj' where she also doubled for Katrina. A member of the film's production unit has made things more interesting by telling the media that he mistook her for Katrina's sister. "But it turns out they are not related. The resemblance is uncanny," he was quoted as saying. Given Sallu's history with look-alikes of his lady-loves, one wonders what this pick means.

Nazia Hassan & Anushka Sharma - No one can doubt the petite 'Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi' star Anushka Sharma's resemblance to the famous Pakistani singer Nazia Hassan. Nazia had shot to fame with the song Disco Deewane in the early 80s, she died of lung cancer at the age of 35. Though Anoushka has just started her stint in Bollywood, we hope she too becomes as popular as her look-alike.

Haifa Wehbe & Rakhi Sawant - You would be forgiven for thinking that Bollywood bomsbhell Rakhi Sawant and Lebanese singer Haifa Wehbe are sisters separated at Kumbh ka mela.

What makes the resemblance more interesting is that Sneha was picked to play opposite Salman Khan when he had recently undergone a nasty breakup with Aishwarya Rai.

Harman Baweja & Hrithik Roshan - Their names start with the same letter, they both hail from a family of film professionals, they both are actors, they both are good dancers and they both look the same.

Even before the film's release, Harman was trying his best to play down comparisons with Hrithik Roshan.
